Well, it should be no surprise that our April 7 screening of “Dark Waters” is canceled. But you can still be a part of something important…even if we’re apart.

Even before Governor Whitmer’s Stay Home, Stay Safe order on March 23, we knew there was no way we could host our screening. With the coronavirus threat growing exponentially, and with Michigan surpassing 1,300 cases, it wasn’t going to happen. So, we’ve worked quickly to organize a way to bring everyone together from the comfort of our own homes.

You’ll be able to join Less Cancer founder Bill Couzens and author, lawyer, and hero Rob Bilott on April 7 for an Instagram Live Q&A. Learn more about the lawsuit that served as the basis for both his book, Exposure, and the award-winning film, Dark Waters, starring Mark Ruffalo. It’s a story that spans over two decades, with non-stop fighting for justice. Rob’s perseverance is simply incredible, and the knowledge he gained through those legal fisticuffs has also essentially armed communities around the globe on how to protect themselves.

We’ll also get an update from Rob on his more recent efforts, and how his case compares to issues like the Flint Water crisis, the Line 5 debate and the PFAs developments both here in Michigan and across the country.

Make sure you check out this page for details on the Instagram Live event and consider making a donation to the organization if you can. Together, we can bring the mission of prevention to more families in the United States and advocate for a healthier, happier world.
